WE ARE HUMAN—WE ARE ONE—WE JOIN TOGETHER AS A SPECIES WE ARE DRIVEN by love and the desire to be useful to and benefit from our communities, not by greed, fear, selfishness, or malice WE GIVE our fellow humans credit for the same, though we all make mistakes WE SEE the suffering of others across the globe and, as compassionate beings, cannot enjoy our own liberty and comfort so long as others suffer WE ACKNOWLEDGE that when we do not prioritize the suffering of our human siblings above all other things, we agreed passively to live in a world of cruelty and oppression WE UNDERTAKE an immediate and urgent mission to restructure our systems to end injustice, exploitation, and cruelty WE CALL FOR the human family to settle its quarrels, end its vicious cycles, and make amends for its various abuses WE CONSIDER violence or coercion of any kind a dire and last resort even when under direct threat of violence or coercion ourselves WE DEMAND that life, liberty, and basic welfare be prioritized above all other concerns WE BELIEVE that the conditions of each and every individual are the concern of all individuals WE RECOGNIZE that humanity now has the technological capacity to directly involve in each and every decision the citizens affected by that decision WE CHALLENGE the idea that a government could ever be justified in keeping secrets from its people WE TRUST in the abilities and humanity of each of our fellow world citizens WE STATE that no man has the prerogative or the right to make decisions for another man on his behalf, or sacrifice her welfare, agency, or life for any reason up to and including the common welfare WE DECLARE OUR SHARED HUMANITY
